The Ohio Swiss Festival, conceived in 1953 with the dual purpose of promoting the Swiss cheese industry and the Village of Sugarcreek, is one of the state’s leading outdoor events. Sugarcreek is known as the center of the Swiss cheese industry in Ohio. Events include music, rides, crafts, food, and wine & cheese tasting from our local cheese makers and Ohio wineries. Festival hours are 6pm to 10pm Wed & Thurs, Noon to 11pm on Fri. and 8:45am to 11pm on Sat. The Kiddies Parade is Friday @ 2pm and the Grand Parade is Saturday @ 2pm. Located in Tuscarawas County, Sugarcreek is six miles west of Dover and 18 miles east of Millersburg on State Route 39. Ample parking is available – included handicapped.
